Musei Civici "L.Barni"

The mission of the Museum is to display the Museum’s heritage, which includes the Pinacoteca, the Shoe Museum, and the Vigevanese Museum of Entrepreneurship. The entire core of the Civic Museum is dedicated to Louis Barni.

The display dates back to 2003 with the construction of the Civic Museums (Pinacoteca and Shoe Museum) at the Scuderia del Castello Sforzesco - first floor. In 2011 the heritage of the Pinacoteca Civica is mapped, newly catalogued and redisplayed in the space of the Scuderia. In 2012 the new exhibition is opened to the public and the project for the enhancement of the Civic Museum circuit begins.

• The Pinacoteca includes about 100 paintings from the fifteenth to the twentieth century, divided into 11 rooms.
• The Shoe Museum exhibits about 200 shoes, from the fifteenth century to present, divided into sections: historical, ethnographic, style and design, Wunderkammer gallery.
• The Vigevanese Museum of entrepreneurship exhibits documents, machinery, photographs, and multimedia related to the history of the vigevanese industry from the Middle Ages to present.
